ART BUILD to prepare for NO KINGS National Day of Defiance: Sunday, June 1, 1:00-5:00 pm

Getting ready for the June 14 NO KINGS National Day of Defiance, join your neighbors in Worth Fighting For St. Johns to make a banner, signs in the shapes of butterflies, and a giant monarch butterfly puppet. No art expertise required, and you can drop in at any time between 1 and 5. Also, on May 31, we will be preparing materials, such as cutting out cardboard butterflies.

Our wrinkle on the theme is No Kings, More Monarchs! in honor of the butterfly that symbolizes the immigrant justice movement, and beauty, resilience, and renewal. This is our moment to proclaim our defiance and resistance (No Kings, No cuts to Medicaid etc.) and to proclaim what we are for (immigrant rights, body autonomy, joy and respect for people of all genders and sexual orientations, etc.)
